About the conference
The Restorative Circles Conference at Earthaven celebrates our opportunity to come together as human beings, as communities (and the organizations we form) to recreate social systems that enhance our ability to reach a higher stage of justice on the arc of history. The bi-annual event focuses on sharing the Restorative Circles process (RC) and the results of its practice, finding support in reaching higher goals in our work places, civic and residential communities, and remembering how our health and well-being are supported and enhanced in the atmosphere of a natural setting. Our program includes planned and unplanned sessions in RC, NVC, healthy movement, nature walks and more.
The Restorative Circles Conference uses "financial co-responsibility," a cooperative financial model, to create a mutually designed financial outcome that appreciates and supports the efforts of all those who make it possible, including those who take the time and expense to attend. This means that food and lodging have set prices, but there is no set price for participating in the conference. The minimum suggested donation is $25/person/day. We appreciate you paying this minimum donation ahead of time, but will also accept payment at the time of the conference, and all through the weekend.
Everyone's encouraged to give what they can, before and during the Conference, and to feel good about it no matter the amount! See you in July.
Food and lodging must be paid for in advance.
The Conference begins on Thursday, July 4th, at 10 am. You're welcome to arrive anytime after 4 pm on Wednesday to get settled and oriented. We've got a tentative program outline posted and will add details as the dates approach.

We are delighted to host the 3rd Bi-annual RC Conference at Earthaven Ecovillage once again! Earthaven is a 25-year-old living laboratory for sustainable human ecolution.
There are several options for lodging during the Conference.
Camping: Tent and RV camping is available at Earthaven in a forested area with a rustic outdoor kitchen, composting toilet and solar shower. Sites are a 2-5 minute walk from the Conference venues. $15/person/night
Shared Indoor Accommodation: Dorm-style accommodations are available with a composting toilet nearby. There will either be access to a shower on site, or you will have access to the campground shower. These are a 5-15 minute walk from Conference venues. $35/person/night
Private Indoor Accommodation: Free-standing huts/cabins or rooms in community members' homes include a variety of perks and facilities. Most are a 5-15 minute walk from the conference. $45/person/night
Note: All Earthaven accommodations are in sustainably built, rustic, off-the-grid lodgings. You will have access to a nearby water-free composting toilet and well water. If there is not a shower at your lodging, you will have access to the campground shower.
Off-Site Accommodation: There are several towns nearby that have lodging available. Black Mountain (30 min from Earthaven), Lake Lure (35 min), Bat Cave (25 min), Asheville (50 min). There is rustic lodging available at The Light Center down the road (20 min).
Also, consider checking Air B&B or VRBO for other options closer than town centers.
Earthaven Ecovillage is located in the forested hills of the Southern Appalachia Mountains. We're 50 minutes from Asheville, NC. As you approach, cell service can be spotty, so make sure you've got directions with you
